Australia-based Sirius Resources has started the work on its Nova nickel-copper project near Balladonia.
The company resumes structure after getting the final legal approvals for the project, two years after proclamation the discovery of the deposit.
Sirius Resources states that it has administered to realize a cost saving of A$30m ($23.7m) evaluate with the A$473m ($373.8m) opinion in the original classic feasibility study (DFS).
“It is very pleasing to have started mining of Nova two and a half years, given that the statement of its finding and even more fitting that such a important landmark should drop on Australia Day for this world-class project” said Sirius managing director Mark Bennett.
Sirius Resources has prized an A$129m ($102m) agreement to Barminco to take out the boxcut and portal digging, and following underground mining.
The agreement has been rewarded for three years with an option to enlarge it by a year.
